The anniversary season runs on select nights through November 1.
The attraction’s September 3 announcement describes substantial work inside one of its longest-running sections. The basement renovation includes more than 3,000 individually hand-cut foam bricks and approximately 80 hand-sculpted wooden timbers. Twenty additional speakers bring music and effects around guests, with bass intended to make the sound a physical part of the experience.
A new character, Mr. Shady, also joins the schoolhouse story. The attraction describes him as a mysterious dream dealer with oversized hands and a skull-like face.
Outside, Monster Midway adds more than 10 photo opportunities, including group coffins and a talking brain, along with the new Pumpkin Smashers Scarecrow Toss game. Seasonal food, drinks and anniversary merchandise will be available to purchase.
Dent’s seasonal offerings include the Classic Haunt, Ghost Tours, Behind the Scenes Tours, Lights Out and Lights On experiences. Visitors should check the calendar for the particular experience they want.
