Image credit: Promotional image: Tweetsie Railroad.BLOWING ROCK, N.C. — Tweetsie Railroad’s Ghost Train returns Friday and Saturday nights from September 25 through October 31, 2026, turning the theme park into a nighttime Halloween destination.
The event includes one Ghost Train ride plus access to Halloween attractions and entertainment. Visitors can explore the Haunted House and Freaky Forest, while lighter activities include Main Street trick-or-treating, the Palace Spooktacular show, a dance party, amusement rides and the Boneyard’s family attractions.
The park positions the overall event as family-friendly but advises parents to choose individual attractions carefully. The Ghost Train ride, Haunted House and Freaky Forest may be better suited to older children and adults.
According to the September media release, tickets cost $65 for guests 13 and older and $45 for children ages 3–12, with taxes and fees included. Children 2 and younger enter free, and parking is free. Gates open at 7:30 p.m., shifting to 7 p.m. during the final three weekends.
Family-appropriate costumes are welcome. Tweetsie also operates during the day on fall Saturdays and Sundays, but daytime admission and Ghost Train are separately ticketed. Advance tickets, the calendar and current visitor information are available at Tweetsie.com.
