Howl-O-Scream begins at 6:00 PM and continues until park close on select nights from September 11 through November 1, 2026. Exact park closing time varies by date, so guests should check the official operating calendar for the selected night. Re-entry is not permitted after 8:00 PM.

Prices

Howl-O-Scream is included with regular Busch Gardens Williamsburg park admission. Current promotional 2026 Howl-O-Scream tickets start around $53.99-$56.99 for guests age 3 and older, depending on the offer and selected date. Parking, taxes, and service fees are additional. Prices vary by date and promotion.

Age guidance

Howl-O-Scream is an adult-targeted Halloween event and is not intended for young children. Busch Gardens warns that the event contains intense adult content including violence, gore, and blood. Guests age 15 and younger must be accompanied by a chaperone age 21 or older after 4:00 PM during Howl-O-Scream. One chaperone may accompany no more than six guests age 15 or younger.

Scare level

High-intensity theme-park Halloween event featuring five haunted houses, five scare zones, live performers, dark passageways, dimly lit environments, sudden scares, frightening characters, gore, blood, violent imagery, loud sounds, fog, theatrical lighting, and intense adult-oriented horror content. Busch Gardens describes the park after 6:00 PM as a seriously scary environment that may not be appropriate for young children.

Accessibility

Busch Gardens Williamsburg provides accessible parking, wheelchair and ECV access and rentals, accessible facilities, service-animal accommodations, ASL interpretation by request, guidance services for guests with visual disabilities, and the Ride Accessibility Program for qualifying guests. Individual haunted houses and attractions may have their own physical or sensory requirements, so guests needing accommodations should review the park accessibility guide or contact Guest Relations before visiting.
